ST. ANDREW'S SOCIETY OF MINNESOTA


  • Who we are:

    The St. Andrew's Society is organized for charitable, educational and social purposes and welcomes as members everyone with an interest in Scottish culture and traditions. We are non-political, non-denominational and non-profit.


  • What we do for fun:

    • Annual Robert Burns Night Dinner

    • Spring and fall luncheons

    • Philantropic Fund Raisers: Kilt Raffles, Meat Raffles & Whiskey Tastings

    • Kirkin' 0' the Tartan events

    • Pub night gatherings

    • First Footing on New Year's Day

    • Group attendance at Scottish-themed plays and concerts


  • What we do for the community:

    • The Andrew Simon Fraser Memorial Scholarship supports continuing education and promotes and nurtures cultural events and projects.

    • The St. Andrews Society of Minnesota Scholarship and Grant Program

    • The Scottish Speakers' Bureau provides informative talks by request on aspects of Scottish culture and history.


  • Activities we participate in:

    • A Scottish Ramble, Landmark Center

    • The Minnesota Scottish Country Fair and Highland Games

    • The Minnesota Renaissance Festival

    • Minnesota Tartan Day/The Tartan Day Cooperative

    • The Minnesota Police Pipe Band

    • The annual Eilean Dubh Concert
